All Metal MS, a global leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of solution driven custom “safety first” aircraft maintenance stands, assembly/production line platforms, hangar equipment, portable field equipment, and specialty tooling is excited to announce the newest addition to their specialty tooling line, the Gimbal-Grabber.
Previously referred to as the GIRD, All Metal’s newly redesigned Gimbal-Grabber is now equipped with an opening “Halo” ring which allows for use on all camera models wherever it is located or positioned on the aircraft. This new design increases the safety of the camera unit while minimizing a mechanics workload. The steel constructed apparatus is intentionally configured so that one mechanic can safely perform an install or removal of any Gimbal that attaches to an aircraft while never handling it with their bare hands. Additionally, it comes with a Lifting Jack and a Rotational Ride Plate. Its tilt down push handle with X/Y tilt capability and 360 degree rotating pump handle ensures ease while handling the expensive and fragile Gimbal.
Johnny Buscema, All Metal MS’s president and CEO, is ecstatic about the new design and technological progress. “We are fortunate to have strong relationships with leaders in the Gimbal camera and accessory market. What our team does best is create our designs based on the feedback from the clients who use the cameras on a daily basis. The Gimbal Grabber’s new design addresses the current challenges our clients encounter using various methods to install and maintain their camera systems. The last thing our clients want to have their mechanics do is rig up a ‘makeshift’ device to work on a camera system.”
Dina Gorby, All Metal marketing manager adds, “when you consider the reduction in labor hours alone, she will quickly pay for herself and begin adding to the bottom line.”
